Battle of the Code-University Hackathon

Battle of the Code is an amped-up, all-night problem solving competition for regional college students where sponsors pitch a problem or open up their technology for teams to develop innovative solutions and win some amazing prizes.

  

Battle of the Code is a unique hackathon because it will not only connect students to sponsoring technology but will connect students to Kansas City’s top employers, established developer community and organizations that foster connections in the KC region.   Come get connected!

Create a mobile application or simulation using an mobile framework and available API’s for the competition that will allow the user to: save, view, notate, categorize, decision and report analytic data from their Health Spending Accounts (HSA) receipts. This would include the ability to upload receipts from the user’s email, disk storage, camera, or mobile phone.

Develop a fully function app for the interactive art project “Urban Colonization.”

 

The goal of this app is to help the public locate hidden art installations of lichen colonies at various sites around Kansas City and encourage them to keep seeking the colonies. Locations for hidden colonies include: The Anita B Gorman Discovery and Conservation Center, Plug Projects, Union Station & Science City and The Mid-America Arts Alliance.
